Camp Sandstone is a modern campground for travelers and families seeking to reconnect with nature alongside West Virginia’s New River Gorge National Park.
With 11 campsites and 6 glamping tents, you can camp on our plateau just beyond the gorge, hike around our lands, and rock climb the Kingfish and Sandstonia cliffs, or just relax in this beautiful place.

PLATFORM TENTS AT SANDSTONE
Reconnect with nature in all its glory by day, sleep in a comfy bed with soft sheets by night. Our cozy platform tents are truly modern camping, some might even say glamping. Whatever you want to call it, it’s special, and it’s ready for you.
PITCH-YOUR-OWN TENT SPOTS
Sleep under the stars— pitch your tent in one of our private campsites & enjoy all that Camp Sandstone has to offer. You can even scoop up a s’mores kit to turn your campfire gatherings into lasting memories.. Campfire stories not included, so come prepared!
WORLD CLASS ROCK CLIMBING
Climb some of the best sandstone cliffs in the New River Gorge. The Sandstonia & Kingfish cliffs are just a short walk from our campground. New to climbing? Grab a front-row seat to watch the action.
GUIDED HIKES & OUTDOOR WELLNESS CLASSES
Take yoga classes in our forests, or nature hikes with local guides on over 150 acres of our rim-front land. Walk mountain ridges for some Gorge’s views (see what we did there?), or explore our fern-filled valleys full of magic.
SANDSTONE COMMONS
Wake up at dawn to fresh coffee, a good book, & the sounds of the forest in our Sandstone Commons. Enjoy an evening beer or glass of wine to unwind with both the folks who came here with you & friends you haven’t met yet.

Revitalize after a long day of hiking, biking, climbing, boating, or following your heart’s adventures. Our bathhouse offers a true refresh with all the essentials— a relaxing shower, fluffy towels, & locally made natural soaps.
